I had bought a mini van from them and with in 1 week of driving it to work the transmission fail I don't want the van no more and they told me that I have to pay a toll truck to take it to them I have been calling them over and over its now been 4 month I have told them that I don't want the van and that they could come pick it up they keep telling me it's my problem but it's not cause I stop paying and it's well over due and don't want the van so if any question about this place feel free to ask me they suck there attitude sucks to
I recently received a call from a close personal friend who informed me she had just purchased a much needed vehicle for herself and family. This vehicle was purchased from Gene's Auto Sales in Bridgeville, DE.This purchase occurred less than 30 days from this review being typed. Within 3-4 days of taking possession of the vehicle, it was very apparent of a major engine problem. The vehicle was sold with a 30 daS y 1000 mile warranty paid at a 50/50 rate. My friend promptly called Gene's Jip Joint to report the issue and was told that "It was her problem". This attitude and gross mistreatment of a customer is absolutely disgusting. Gene's very obviously took advantage of a single mother who was in need of a vehicle. My friend was well aware of the fact that this was an A to B vehicle and not an A to California and back vehicle. As it stands now, this vehicle will not pass DE or MD inspection at all, and Gene's Jip Joint will now not return any calls to her whatsoever. I personally am in the repossession industry and full well understand how the inner workings of a buy here pay here dealer works. I don't think that Gene's should refund her money and take the car back as the first choice. But as a good dealer they should jump at the opportunity to make a bad situation right. They should be willing to do what it takes to keep a customer. If their is a 30 day warranty honor it! The buy here pay here industry is a very important industry in America, and its dealers like Gene's Jip Joint who give a bad name to the numerous legitimate stand up dealers!!! If anyone from Gene's would like to speak on this matter, I would be more than happy to field any and all questions and concerns. I have no stake in this situation other than being a concerned friend. Thank you!
This place is a JOKE. My daughter went there and they wanted to charge double what the car was worth. I asked the guy I spoke with what the book value of the car was and he said "You can look it up. We are a buy here pay here and we charge accordingly." Meaning.. we Rob people because we can. They told her she could put 500 down over the phone and of course, they changed their mind. Bait and switch action. BBB is my next stop. STAY AWAY!!!
bought a car and engine light came on while driving it home, took it back to the dealer to fix the problem but only made it worse. very unreliable, might have illegally turn off the engine temporarily
This guy sean who says hes an owner has real attitude like no other. I would advise to go somewhere else as he has no customer service skills whatsoever. Good luck jerk
